We empower entrepreneurs and small business owners with the resources and support they need to start and grow their businesses and help with recovery nationwide after a disaster. Created in 1953, the SBA is the only go-to resource and voice for small businesses backed by the strength of the federal government.

Training -- affordable workshops on business start-up basics; topical roundtables on small business issues; JSEB educational partner. Counseling -- HELP desk for quick answers; access to the latest business information onsite and online; confidential, free assistance provided by Certified Business Analysts including financial analysis, market analysis, business plan assistance, and access to capital.

The SBRN is a statewide network of accountants, attorneys, lenders, insurance professionals, business consultants and government or non-profit agencies who have the expertise and desire to assist small business owners. The SBRN is a free information and referral resource provider.

St. Johns County Office of Economic Development is the lead coordinator for overall economic development efforts in St. Johns County. The program provides assistance to businesses interested in locating and expanding into the County including site selection, incentive negotiation and other due-diligence requests. The County manages the local economic development incentive program and provides assistance with related regional, state and federal programs. The County partners with the SBDC to provide training, consulting and general business assistance.

Jacksonville has a growing entrepreneurship ecosystem, and UNF and the Coggin College of Business are driving early-stage entrepreneurship efforts in our region. To maximize UNF’s potential impact and benefit to the Jacksonville and North Florida communities, UNF opened the Center for Entrepreneurship at 112 W. Adams St. in downtown Jacksonville in 2019.

All-volunteer organization. Provide support to women in all stages of business ownership. 5-6 monthly meetings for networking and business education. Seminars, retreat, scholarship programs for business education/training, support for various business issues and community programs. Do not directly provide any loans, grants, economic incentives or capital investment. Sponsor of Woman Business Owner of the Year awards program for North Florida, recognizing achievement of outstanding women-owned businesses.
